Best & Worst Dressed at the Golden Globes

Lights, camera, awards season! The first official weekend of the new year brought along the Golden Globe awards; and while the weather is currently freezing in so many corners of the world, Los Angeles was its sunny self as Hollywood’s brightest stars came out to celebrate the best in TV and movies. Here are the night’s best and worst dressed:

Sophie Turner sizzles in Louis Vuitton! The Game of Thrones actress expertly combines shoulder pads, cutouts, and sheer in one stunning gown that show that she’s all grown up. Turner completes the look with Tiffany & Co. jewels and flat straight hair.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Heidi Klum‘s latest fashion crime comes in the form of this J. Mendel zig-zag black and white dress. The top part seems to be holding on to dear life, trying to avoid a wardrobe malfunction, while the overall surplus of sequins is nothing short of tacky!

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Drew Barrymore gets it right in this whimsical Monique Lhuillier gown: the fit is flawless and the sparkly winged shoulders are a perfect compliment to the actress’ character.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Sarah Jessica Parker could be easily mistaken for a runaway bride in this Vera Wang collection mess. SJP- who usually gets it right- dons an unflattering full-on white satin gown that looks like it needs to be ironed for DAYS. Adding insult to injury is her (completely) out of place Princess Leia hair.

NBC's "74th Annual Golden Globe Awards" - Red Carpet Arrivals

Evan Rachel Wood gives us a lesson on how to wear a  suit to a high profile red carpet and end up on the best dressed list. The actress nails it in a perfectly tailored Altuzarra tux with an understated pussy bow double breasted white chemise.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Nicole Kidman looks all kinds of wrong in this fully embellished Alexander McQueen gown. I can’t seem to decide what’s worse: the multi-layered ruffled hem or the (extremely) outdated arm warmers!

NBC's "74th Annual Golden Globe Awards" - Red Carpet Arrivals

Last night’s Best Actress winner was breathtaking in Valentino Haute Couture. La La Land‘s Emma Stone was the epitome of glamour in a beautiful star inspired gown and Tiffany & Co. diamonds.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Chrissy Teigen misses the mark in this disappointing fishtail gown by Marchesa. The model could have done so much better than this greige meets bronze gown.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Amy Adams stuns in a fully sequined strapless Tom Ford column dress. The Arrival actress kept her hair simple and accessorized with Cartier diamonds for her walk down the red carpet.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Although Kerry Washington‘s makeup and hair were on point for the Golden Globes, her dress was NOT.  With the excessive gunmetal embroidery and awkward belt placement, this Dolce & Gabbana gold lace tea length dress has too much going on, not to mention those visible black spanks which are just tasteless.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Reese Witherspoon shines in a custom-made Atelier Versace sweetheart neckline lemon dress with a high slit and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Zoe Saldana hits all the wrong notes in a Valentine inspired Gucci gown. Too much fabric and a huge in-your-face lavender bow turned this look into an absolute disaster.

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Kristen Bell  is chic and polished in a dangerously plunging Jenny Packham black dress. From the shiny all-over sequins to her tousled waves and not forgetting those drop dead gorgeous Harry Winston diamonds, Bell was undoubtedly the Globe’s Belle of the ball!

74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 08 Jan 2017

Blake Lively makes her post-baby return to Hollywood in an unflattering custom velvet Atelier Versace gown. The look could have been a winning one if it weren’t for the unnecessary gold sequined neckline and weird pockets? Even Blake’s enviable emerald Lorraine Schwartz cuffs could not save this look!

The Boldest Looks From The MET Gala 2016

The first Monday of May in New York is quite the big deal; A-list celebrities flock to the MET museum on 5th avenue and walk the annual MET gala red carpet in custom-made creations by the world’s most coveted designers. 2016’s gala was no different than others; on the contrary, with a theme entitled ““Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology”, we witnessed a sea of mirrored gowns that surely transported us to the future. Here’s a closer look at last night’s boldest looks:

Emma Stone debuted her darker locks in a striking white Prada gown with a gunmetal harness. The actress completed her look with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Smokey eyes.

Kendall Jenner was her usual stunning supermodel self in a custom multi-colored Atelier Versace dress. Jenner accentuated her look with white heels and a high ponytail.

Kendall’s bestie- Gigi Hadid- also wowed in a gunmetal chiffon custom-made Tommy Hilfiger gown with an attached halter neckline. The model brought her best accessory, boyfriend Zayn Malik who turned heads in his metal armed custom Versace suit.

Blake Lively usually knocks it out of the park with her MET gala ensembles, however, last night was a different story. The pregnant actress does not impress in her pink Burberry dress with red flower embellishments; from her hair to her over-the-top Lorraine Schwartz danglers, here’s hoping that Blake’s fashion choices evolve as her second pregnancy unfolds.

Taylor Swift can’t seem to get enough of her new look; the singer sticks to her beach hair and wine lips for the MET’s red carpet event and dons a reptile print Louis Vuitton side cut-out halter dress. It’s safe to say that T.Swift can do so much better than this.

In possibly one of the worst looks of the night, Madonna chooses to cover her nipples in black tape and show us her butt in a sheer black ensemble and over 400 carats of Neil Lane jewels. It’s time to act your age Madge.

Naomi Watts knows how good she looks in metallics: the Aussie actress stuns in a strapless mirrored Burberry dress with embellished flowers and Fred Leighton jewels.

Another red carpet, another shapeless matching getup for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

I’m usually not a fan of Kristen Stewart, but the actress surely impressed at this year’s MET gala. For her walk down the carpet, Stewart chose a laced silk Chanel dress with equally stunning sparkly boots. The actress ups her game with striking silver shadow and a blonde updo.

A usual MET gala favorite, Sarah Jessica Parker fails in this custom Monse ensemble and mis-matched heels from her own line, SJP.

Lady Gaga goes back to her early red carpet days in a flawlessly structured Atelier Versace onesie and matching metallic bolero with sublime detailing. Her lace-up platform boots should have stayed at home though.

Emma Watson pushes her style in a pant/skirt combo by Calvin Klein Collection. The British actress completes her outfit with a simple black and white bustier and old glamorous waves.

Karolina Kurkova stuns in her gray Marchesa dress that comes loaded with flower appliques and get this, the gown is embedded with IBM Watson technology (LED lights) that reacts to social media in real-time!

Kim Kardashian said that she felt like a “robot” in her metallic mirrored Balmain gown, but I doubt that a even a robot would want to wear this skin-tight over the top look.

Rachel McAdams is simply lovely in her Valentino dress which featured heavy gold details and script embroidery all over the skirt. The actress completed her look with dark lips and a pair of Jimmy Choos.

Too much dress and way too many feathers; Rita Ora fails to inspire us with her custom Vera Wang gown.

What could be better than Kate Bosworth’s sublime Dolce and Gabbana armored bodice dress? Her matching crown, that’s what.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Katy Perry takes costume galas very seriously it seems. The singer goes all out with an elaborate (that word could be an understatement) Prada gown accentuated with a Tamagotchi (boyfriend Orlando Bloom also wore one) toy and a fierce updo.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Cindy Crawford’s still got it! The ageless models sizzles in a liquid silver Balmain dress with structured sheer panels.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Nicki Minaj looks like she’s packed, taped, and ready to be shipped out in this custom Moschino halter dress, complete with buckle details and sheer gloves and skirt. #fail.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

I’m having a schizophrenic reaction to Miranda Kerr’s Louis Vuitton two piece outfit. On the one hand, it’s way too colorful and the mismatched ruffle is just tacky, but on the other hand, if anyone can get away with wearing this look,  it would be this Aussie model.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Note to Brie Larson: this is what you wear to a high profile red carpet event from now on. The Oscar winner makes up for her Academy Awards look by slipping into a breath-taking cut-out Proenza Schouler mirrored halter dress. Simply stunning!

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Kate Hudson disappoints in this super busy Atelier Versace white gown with a tiered and sculpted bodice and long train. The actress redeems herself (kind-of) thanks to her 8 million dollar Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Solange Knowles is playful in this #Lemonade pleated dress with an inverted neckline and thigh-high matching boots. Classic Solange and on point with the color to support big sis Beyoncé.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Alicia Vikander has too much going on thanks to her Louis Vuitton dress. The design house’s latest muse groups patent, sequins, and patchwork all in one LV mini and yet, the disaster seems to come in the form of Vikander’s unfortunate red hiking boots.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art's COSTUME INSTITUTE Benefit Celebrating the Opening of Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, Arrivals, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, New York, America - 02 May 2016

Dolce and Gabbana’s #ItaliaIsLove can easily be changed to #ZoeIsLove, for Saldana is the epitome of glitz and glamour in a flawless Dolce and Gabbana multi-colored feather trained extravagant gown.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

As if Beyoncé needed more press this week! Queen B was the talk of the MET thanks to her latex or Slaytex- as many called it- gown by Givenchy. The puff sleeve nude beaded gown sent the BeyHive (and the Twitterverse) into a frenzy and expressed a lack of care that Jay Z couldn’t make it. This was Beyoncé in all her glory and she emerged a winner, as usual.

Best & Worst Dressed at the Golden Globe Awards 2015!

Awards season officially kicked off on Sunday with the Golden Globes taking place in Los Angeles. After a very rainy weekend in the California city, the stars came out in their beautiful designer gowns to walk the red carpet. Several trends were noticed but the most memorable ones were metallics, reds, whites, and  blacks, as always. Let’s take a look at the most memorable gowns from last night and check out who was best and worst dressed.

Shiny Metallics

Hollywood’s A list dazzled in mesmerizing metallics! Julianne Moore led the way in a custom-made Givenchy strapless gown featuring ombre sequins and feathers at the hem and completed her look with Chopard jewels. The breath-taking Diane Kruger wowed in Emilia Wickstead! Although the German actress was all covered up, she still looked stunning while doing so! America’s sweetheart a.k.a Reese Witherspoon brought sexy back in a flawless strapless Calvin Klein dress and stunning diamonds, while Kate Beckinsale took the plunge in a low-cut Elie Saab. Let’s also not forget the forever young Jennifer Lopez- who proves time and time again- that she is one of THE hottest celebrities out there. The sexy latina was once again loyal to Zuhair Murad, who put her in this insanely sexy plunging, mid thigh-high slit gown!

Festive Reds

While some stars wowed in metallics, others were still enjoying the festive season and showed up in red. Two celebrities in specific stood out in the holiday color: Allison Williams blew everyone away with her strapless Armani Privé ball gown while Heidi Klum took everyone’s breath away (finally!) in a sexy, yet glamorous Versace.

reds

Winter Whites

You can always count on the beyond beautiful Kate Hudson to bring the sexy to the red carpet. Goldie’s daughter turned heads in a sexy plunging and cut-out white Versace gown. She balanced the sexy out by putting her hair up in a demure updo. Emily Blunt also seemed to be a fan of cutouts, selecting a custom-made Michael Kors.

white

Nude Neutrals

Chrissy Tiegan went to Zuhair Murad who made sure that she looked sexy in sheer for the red carpet event, while Anna Kendrick channeled Cinderella in her girly Monique Lhuiller gown.

neutral

Dark Ladies

Lorde looked age appropriate in her fun custom-made Narciso Rodriguez pantsuit. The songstress’ hair may have been in distress but her jaw-dropping Neil Lane statement diamond necklace will surely divert your attention. Jennifer Aniston stayed in her comfort zone by slipping into a black halter Saint Laurent gown. While she looked beautiful, I would have loved to see her in something more daring; moreover, the halter strap is a little too 90s for 2015. I don’t blame you in case you mistakenly identified Jessica Chastain as Sofia Vergara; the red head took a page out of Vergara’s book and slipped into a va-va-voom plunging bronze Versace that hugged her curves perfectly.

black

A Colorful Winter

Any best dressed list is incomplete without the stunning Naomi Watts who wowed in yellow in the middle of January! The Aussie beauty chose Gucci for the globes and perfectly accessorized her look with a BVLGARI serpenti necklace. Possibly one of my favorites of the night, Jenna Dewan Tatum, was a vision in a ruffled strapless Carolina Herrera!

Naomi Watts

Jenna Dewan

On the opposite end of the list, here’s Amy Adams in a one shoulder Versace. I love Amy Adams and most of the time, her choices are spot on. However, I really feel like this powder blue gown washes her out; I just wish she had went for a darker version or added a dark lip for some drama.

Amy Adams

Tina Fey looks like she’s going to her school prom instead of a red carpet show. The funny lady disappoints in a strapless Antonio Berrardi cocktail gown, as it appears as if she sowed on that extra layer of white fabric minutes before the show..

Tina Fey

Claire Danes‘ fashion choices usually land her on the best dressed list. However, her Valentino disaster looks too medieval for the 21st century. The design is too busy and the actress’ body seems to have disappeared somewhere in between all these prints.

Claire Danes

Lena Dunham shows you how NOT to wear red on the carpet. The Girls actress dons an asymmetrical Zac Posen dress with several busy cuts, and that’s not even the worst of it: her hideous shoes need to be burnt asap!

Lena Dunham

Lupita Nyong’o may have been last year’s red carpet darling, but the Kenyan actress is starting off 2015 on a bad note. Although the bust of her Giambattista Valli gown is exploding with perfectly arranged flowers, the midriff section looks like a New Year’s Eve cotillion cotillion gone wrong.

Lupita Nyong'o

Kate Mara is also another actress who usually gets it right. However, last night was another story. Her red Miu Miu gown looks great from afar, but take a closer look and the ruched detailing on both sides of her pelvic area is quite distracting. Also not helping is that tan belt which needs to be burnt along with Lena Dunham’s shoes.

Kate Mara

Another year, another failed look. Maggie Gyllenhal is on a winning worst dressed list streak by wearing this Miu Miu bed sheet. The bust details are beyond awkward and the gown needs to be ironed.

maggie

Lana Del Rey may be young and beautiful, but sure isn’t best dressed. The singer chose this turquoise dress? that’s all sorts of wrong. I don’t even know who the designer is, but this crime is too much to look at.

Lana Del Rey

I loved Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl. It’s also hard to believe that the British beauty just had a baby just a month ago.. Her Vera Wang dress really would have been perfect, if only it had the right fit. Considering its current state, this gown looks like a wardrobe malfunction ready to happen any minute!

Rosamund Pike

It’s hard to believe that Keira Knightly’s Chanel dress reportedly took almost 30 hours to make. I mean how hard it is to cut up a piece of fabric that has hundreds of species of butterflies and sow it into a dress? Yes she’s pregnant and yes it is wrong to make fun of pregnant women, but seriously now, there’s an almost actual living butterfly on her wrist too! There’s is no excuse for this crime against butterflies whatsoever!

Fashion | Fashion’s Favorite Designers Show at NYC’s Bridal Week!

It was a big week for the world’s most loved bridal fashion designers as they showed their 2013/2014 collections in New York City last week. Big names including Marchesa, Vera Wang, and Oscar De La Renta dominated the event and kept the fashion community on its feet for two straight days.

First up is Marchesa who showed its feminine designs and flowing trains, as princess cuts dominated. Delicate lace, classic sweetheart necklines, and asymmetrical cuts reflected the label’s signature style.

MA

On the other hand, theMonique Lhuillier presentation consisted of chic and sleek lines that reflect a modern and urban woman. The designer also focused on the details, textures, and extravagant designs.

Over at Vera Wang, the celebrity loved wedding designer combined monochrome with artistic and edgy princess cuts. The designer played with different bespoke fabrics including black leather.

VW

Carolina Herrera kept it understated and classy, and some of her designs were even inspired by the 60s and most of her brides carried a bouquet of golden flowers.

CH a

Oscar De La Renta stuck to his signature silhouettes with puffy skirts and structured lace largely visible in the collection.

ODLR

Legendary wedding designer Reem Acra displayed whimsical designs; as the models strutted down the runway, their veils and headbands were embroidered with the words “Only You”.

Temperly of London- a favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge- presented original British designs that were inspired by the Victorian period.

Bridal week did not end without a surprise, as Pronovias showed several casual wedding looks that are perfect for a Summer wedding reception!

Let’s Talk Memorable Celebrity Wedding Gowns on LBC SAT’s “B Beirut”!

It was my pleasure to be a guest on “B Beirut” yesterday night, a lifestyle show that is broadcast live on LBC SAT daily at 7:30PM.

The topic I covered with the show’s very fashionable host Bilal Al Arabi was memorable celebrity wedding dresses. As you all know, wedding season is just around the corner and you beautiful ladies may want to get some inspiration from the gowns your favorite stars wore for their walk down the aisle. Check out the gowns that were showcased on “B Beirut” below!

Kicking it off with Anne Hathaway who wore a stunning custom made Valentino couture gown for her nuptials to Adam Shulman in Big Sur, CA late last year. The Les Miserables star’s gown was inspired by the 20s and even featured a head band that covered her short tresses (thank God!). Additionally, the gown was hand painted on the bottom in pink which added a girly touch to the otherwise very feminine look.

Anne Hathaway in Valentino

The Black Eyed Peas’ frontwoman Fergie wore custom made Dolce & Gabbana for her wedding to Josh Duhamel. The dress featured a fitted corset, tulle train, and a collection of tulle flowers that were knitted on the back with Swarovsky crystals placed in the center. Take a look at that amazing diamond necklace in her hair!

Fergie in Dolce and Gabbana

Gwen Stefani knows a thing or two about being rocker chic! For her wedding to Gavin Rossdale more than 10 years ago, Stefani wore a Couture Dior gown that was white, but featured a hot pink hue towards the hem. Gwen knew how to inject some punk rock into her gown while keeping it classy and is widely credited today as the celebrity who inspired pink wedding gowns!

Gwen Stefani in Christian Dior

Hillary Duff, known to many as Lizzy McGuirre wore a custom made Vera Wang mermaid gown for her wedding to Hockey player Mike Comrie. The petite star looked stunning in this strapless dress that featured loads of ruffles below the knee. Tip! Mermaid gowns look good on almost every body shape; this style adds some height if you need an extra few inches and covers problem areas where you might appear to be fuller.

Hillary Duff in Vera Wang

One of my favorite celebrity gowns belongs to Jenna Dewan who married the very sexy Channing Tatum in a charming outdoor ceremony. The stunning actress wore a Couture gown by Lebanese American designer Reem Acra that featured a full skirt, beading on the bodice, and whimsical feathers all over. Love it!

Jenna Dewan in Reem Acra

How else would you expect Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake to pose on the cover of People magazine on their wedding day? The beautiful actress slipped into a pink Giambattista Valli couture gown for her Italian wedding to the popular pop star. Biel kept her makeup to a minimum and had her hair in a simple updo , which kept the focus on the dress!

Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli

British supermodel Kate Moss married Jamie Hince in England in a village like ceremony. The groom wore a blue grey retro suit while the blond bride wore a dress by her friend John Galliano. Moss’ gown was inspired by 20s icon Zelda Fitzgerald and was lightly sequined with sheer panels here and there. The model’s bridal party (including her daughter who served as her maid of honor) were all dressed by her close friend and designer Stella McCartney.

Kate Moss in John Galliano

When Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise got married, it was a match made in tabloid heaven for months to come! Holmes asked Giorgio Armani to create her gown for the big day (as well as Cruise’s tux) who designed this off-the-shoulder beaded dress with a tulle trimmed veil for their big wedding in an Italian castle!

Katie Holmes in Armani

When Kim Kardashian announced that she was marrying Basketball player Kris Humphries, everyone knew she was going to go all out for her wedding. But no one expected her to wear three custom made gowns- that reportedly cost $75,000- by Vera Wang! For the ceremony, the reality star wore a Cinderella like strapless gown which featured a full skirt. (Check out the diamonds on her forehead!). After, Kim K slipped into a mermaid tulle gown for the reception and later on changed into a champagne colored satin number to cut the cake. Notice how in each look, the reality star wears different jewels and changes her hair and makeup!

Kim Kardashian in Vera WangKim Kardashian in 3 Vera Wang gowns

Everyone expected Mariah Carey to go all out for her wedding to Nick Cannon a few years ago. However, the diva surprised everyone by wearing a simple Nile Cymlo gown to her big day in the Bahamas. Her dress was reportedly the same color as the island’s sand! It doesn’t stop their though- following the ceremony, guests gathered around the ocean and watched as Mariah’s dress turned pink once she entered the water. Guess Carey did have a surprise up her sleeve!

Mariah Carey in Nile Cymlo

For her understated wedding to Brian Austin Greene in Hawaii, Megan Fox wore a simple gown made especially for her by Armani Privé. The actress looked beautiful as she walked barefoot in the sand in her sweetheart neckline gown that featured a stunning flowing veil and a 13 foot train- yes 13!

Megan Fox in Armani Prive 2Megan Fox in Armani Prive

Melania Knauss shocked the world when she appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine one month prior to her wedding in her actual wedding dress! Yes, the former model posed in her John Galliano strapless gown that had a 13-foot train and was made from 300 feet of white duchesse satin, and 1,500 pearls and crystal rhinestones. Guess it pays to marry a billionaire like Donald Trump!

Melania Trump in John GallianoMelania Trump in Vogue

The Legally Blond Reese Witherspoon wore a custom made Monique Lhuiller soft pink gown for her wedding to Jim Toth in her home in Ojai, CA. The classy actress’ gown featured a corset top made of Chantilly lace along with a separated tulle A-line skirt with a silk satin ribbon.

Reese Witherspoon in Monique Lhuillier

Which designer would you choose to design your wedding gown if your husband-to-be owned Gucci, YSL, and Balenciaga? Well Salma Hayek chose Balenciaga for her Venice wedding to PPR chairman Francois Henri Pinault. The stunning gown featured a silver beaded bodice that highlighted her cleavage (as always) and a full off-white skirt. Stunning!

Salma Hayek in Balenciaga

I LOVE Victoria Beckham, but I think that if she were to get married again, she would pick another gown than the Vera Wang she wore to her wedding to David Beckham over 10 years ago. Nevertheless, Mrs. Beckham is beautiful in this champagne colored satin strapless gown. And check out those apples in her bouquet! Maybe that’s a British thing? ;)

Victoria Beckham in Vera Wang

There you have it! A rundown of the most memorable celebrity wedding gowns! Which is your favorite?

Thank you again to the amazing production team and crew at LBC SAT’s B Beirut. Looking forward to next time!

Red Carpet | Memorable Oscar Fashion!

The wait is over and Oscar night is finally here! For many of us fashion enthusiasts, this night is more about the designer gowns, fancy hair, and drop-dead-gorgeous diamonds rather than who actually wins an award!

So in anticipation of what the stars will bring to the red carpet tonight, here are Oscar’s most memorable gowns ever!

Halle Berry

The most memorable dress of the century! In 2002, nominee Halle Berry stepped on the red carpet in this Elie Saab Couture gown with a sheer bodice and strageically placed embroidery. Lucky for her, she even won the Oscar for “Monster’s Ball” and got to show the dress to the world in her acceptance speech.

Halle B

Penelope Cruz

Penelope chose a blush colored Atelier Versace gown for the 2007 Academy Awards with a sweeping train. An elegant updo and natural makeup completed the flawless look!

Penelope C

Charlize Theron

To collect her Best Actress award for “Monster”, Charlize wore a nude Gucci gown to the 2004 Academy Awards. The dress fit Charlize like a glove and she managed to look even more Hollywood glam in her retro waves and statement jewelry.

Charlize T

Anne Hathaway

Before chopping off her hair to play “Fantine” in “Les Miserables”, this year’s Best Supporting Actress nominee dazzled on the red carpet in 2008. Her deep red Marchesa chiffon gown with flowers on the bodice and shoulder looked like a piece of art and the train made the look even more dramatic.

Anne H

Julia Roberts

One year before Halle Berry’s legendary Oscar gown, Julia Roberts turned heads when she hit the red carpet wearing Vintage Valentino. The black dress with white accents is the best thing I’ve ever seen Julia in. That night, Julia won Best Actress for her role in “Erin Brokovich” and I’m sure the gown is one of the reasons why she received a standing ovation as she finished her speech!

Julia R

Michelle Williams

Who could forget the canary yellow Vera Wang gown Michelle Williams wore to the 2006 Academy Awards? With the late Heath Ledger on her arm, Michelle was the definition of boho chic in this mustardy color, along with a side swept-do, red lips, and a statement necklace.

Michelle W

Hillary Swank

When Hillary Swank walked the Oscar red carpet in 2005, everyone thought she looked far too conservative. Fast forward a few minutes and Hillary reveals a cutout down to there in the back of her Guy Laroche gown. She also picked up an Academy Award for her stellar performance in “Million Dollar Baby”.

Hillary S

Jennifer Lawrence

In 2011, Jennifer Lawrence was nowhere close to how famous she is today. But that didn’t stop her from knocking it out of the park in this va-va-voom red Calvin Klein gown. This low cut yet simple gown, along with blownout blonde locks put Jennifer on the best dressed list that year!

Jennifer L

Mila Kunis

Wearing lavender in February can be tricky, but Mila was a vision in this chiffon Elie Saab gown at the 2011 ceremony. The delicate lace is placed strategically in all the right places and the ribbon around the waist compliments Mila’s figure perfectly.

Mila K

That’s it for now, but tune in tomorrow to find out who was best dressed at the 2013 Academy Awards live from Hollywood!
