The Boldest Looks From The MET Gala 2016

The first Monday of May in New York is quite the big deal; A-list celebrities flock to the MET museum on 5th avenue and walk the annual MET gala red carpet in custom-made creations by the world’s most coveted designers. 2016’s gala was no different than others; on the contrary, with a theme entitled ““Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology”, we witnessed a sea of mirrored gowns that surely transported us to the future. Here’s a closer look at last night’s boldest looks:

Emma Stone debuted her darker locks in a striking white Prada gown with a gunmetal harness. The actress completed her look with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Smokey eyes.

Kendall Jenner was her usual stunning supermodel self in a custom multi-colored Atelier Versace dress. Jenner accentuated her look with white heels and a high ponytail.

Kendall’s bestie- Gigi Hadid- also wowed in a gunmetal chiffon custom-made Tommy Hilfiger gown with an attached halter neckline. The model brought her best accessory, boyfriend Zayn Malik who turned heads in his metal armed custom Versace suit.

Blake Lively usually knocks it out of the park with her MET gala ensembles, however, last night was a different story. The pregnant actress does not impress in her pink Burberry dress with red flower embellishments; from her hair to her over-the-top Lorraine Schwartz danglers, here’s hoping that Blake’s fashion choices evolve as her second pregnancy unfolds.

Taylor Swift can’t seem to get enough of her new look; the singer sticks to her beach hair and wine lips for the MET’s red carpet event and dons a reptile print Louis Vuitton side cut-out halter dress. It’s safe to say that T.Swift can do so much better than this.

In possibly one of the worst looks of the night, Madonna chooses to cover her nipples in black tape and show us her butt in a sheer black ensemble and over 400 carats of Neil Lane jewels. It’s time to act your age Madge.

Naomi Watts knows how good she looks in metallics: the Aussie actress stuns in a strapless mirrored Burberry dress with embellished flowers and Fred Leighton jewels.

Another red carpet, another shapeless matching getup for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

I’m usually not a fan of Kristen Stewart, but the actress surely impressed at this year’s MET gala. For her walk down the carpet, Stewart chose a laced silk Chanel dress with equally stunning sparkly boots. The actress ups her game with striking silver shadow and a blonde updo.

A usual MET gala favorite, Sarah Jessica Parker fails in this custom Monse ensemble and mis-matched heels from her own line, SJP.

Lady Gaga goes back to her early red carpet days in a flawlessly structured Atelier Versace onesie and matching metallic bolero with sublime detailing. Her lace-up platform boots should have stayed at home though.

Emma Watson pushes her style in a pant/skirt combo by Calvin Klein Collection. The British actress completes her outfit with a simple black and white bustier and old glamorous waves.

Karolina Kurkova stuns in her gray Marchesa dress that comes loaded with flower appliques and get this, the gown is embedded with IBM Watson technology (LED lights) that reacts to social media in real-time!

Kim Kardashian said that she felt like a “robot” in her metallic mirrored Balmain gown, but I doubt that a even a robot would want to wear this skin-tight over the top look.

Rachel McAdams is simply lovely in her Valentino dress which featured heavy gold details and script embroidery all over the skirt. The actress completed her look with dark lips and a pair of Jimmy Choos.

Too much dress and way too many feathers; Rita Ora fails to inspire us with her custom Vera Wang gown.

What could be better than Kate Bosworth’s sublime Dolce and Gabbana armored bodice dress? Her matching crown, that’s what.

Katy Perry takes costume galas very seriously it seems. The singer goes all out with an elaborate (that word could be an understatement) Prada gown accentuated with a Tamagotchi (boyfriend Orlando Bloom also wore one) toy and a fierce updo.

Cindy Crawford’s still got it! The ageless models sizzles in a liquid silver Balmain dress with structured sheer panels.

Nicki Minaj looks like she’s packed, taped, and ready to be shipped out in this custom Moschino halter dress, complete with buckle details and sheer gloves and skirt. #fail.

I’m having a schizophrenic reaction to Miranda Kerr’s Louis Vuitton two piece outfit. On the one hand, it’s way too colorful and the mismatched ruffle is just tacky, but on the other hand, if anyone can get away with wearing this look,  it would be this Aussie model.

Note to Brie Larson: this is what you wear to a high profile red carpet event from now on. The Oscar winner makes up for her Academy Awards look by slipping into a breath-taking cut-out Proenza Schouler mirrored halter dress. Simply stunning!

Kate Hudson disappoints in this super busy Atelier Versace white gown with a tiered and sculpted bodice and long train. The actress redeems herself (kind-of) thanks to her 8 million dollar Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Solange Knowles is playful in this #Lemonade pleated dress with an inverted neckline and thigh-high matching boots. Classic Solange and on point with the color to support big sis Beyoncé.

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - Arrivals

Alicia Vikander has too much going on thanks to her Louis Vuitton dress. The design house’s latest muse groups patent, sequins, and patchwork all in one LV mini and yet, the disaster seems to come in the form of Vikander’s unfortunate red hiking boots.

Dolce and Gabbana’s #ItaliaIsLove can easily be changed to #ZoeIsLove, for Saldana is the epitome of glitz and glamour in a flawless Dolce and Gabbana multi-colored feather trained extravagant gown.

As if Beyoncé needed more press this week! Queen B was the talk of the MET thanks to her latex or Slaytex- as many called it- gown by Givenchy. The puff sleeve nude beaded gown sent the BeyHive (and the Twitterverse) into a frenzy and expressed a lack of care that Jay Z couldn’t make it. This was Beyoncé in all her glory and she emerged a winner, as usual.

Best & Worst Dressed At The 2016 Oscars

For film’s biggest night, Hollywood’s brightest and boldest actresses brought out their best designer duds for a walk on the red carpet. Here are the best and worst looks from Oscar Sunday.

Naomi Watts is stunning in this Armani Privé blue and purple scale patterned strapless dress. The Aussie actress ups her game in a drop-dead gorgeous Bulgari diamond necklace and matching clutch.

naomi-watts

Saoirse Ronan may not have won the Oscar, but she sure was a winner on the red carpet. The Brooklyn actress wows in a custom-made Calvin Klein emerald sequin dress and matching Chopard emeralds and diamonds.

saoirse-ronan

Lady Gaga impresses as only SHE can! The singer sticks to her unique roots in this Brandon Maxwell white jumpsuit complete with a sweetheart neckline and full train. Gaga adds over 8 million dollars of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds to complete her flawless look!

lady-gaga

Olivia Wilde is another stunner in white; the actress takes the plunge in this plunging Valentino Haute Couture number. Wilde kept her makeup and hair simple and accessorized her look with a statement necklace.

Olivia Wilde

Julianne Moore ditched her go-to Givenchy for this custom Chanel Haute Couture black dress with embroidered straps. Last year’s Oscar winner was mesmerizing thanks to an addition of Chopard diamond earrings and cuff.

julianne-moore

It’s so good to see Tina Fey finally end up on a best dressed list! The funny actress stuns in a royal purple Atelier Versace strapless gown and matching statement Bulgari diamonds.

tina-fey

Another red carpet, another sizzling appearance by the one and only Margot Robbie. The beautiful actress is reminiscent of an Oscar statue in her snake skin gold Tom Ford gown with plunging neckline and matching Forever Mark diamonds.

margot-robbie

Rachel McAdams hits the mark in her impeccable August Getty Atelier gown! From the train to the open back, and not forgetting her flawless Piaget drop earrings, the Canadian beauty was surely one of the night’s best dressed stars.

rachel-mcadams

Olivia Munn is classy and elegant in her tangerine one-shoulder Stella McCartney gown. She accentuates her look with a matching lip and Forever Mark jewels.

olivia-munn

Jennifer Lawrence decided to take a walk on the wild side and step out of her comfort zone in this nude and black lace Dior gown. The actress completed her look with a fresh face and a blunt straight bob.

JLaw

I’m undecided about Cate Blanchett‘s gown choice for last night’s awards. The actress’ seafoam green Armani Privé gown has too much going on thanks to the multidimensional appliques all over. At least her breath-taking Tiffany & Co. diamonds saved her!

cate-blanchett

Kate Winslet looks like she went for a dip in the ocean right before the Oscars and then put on the first gown she saw hanging in her closet. Everything about this look is a disaster; from the careless hairdo to the liquid silk lamé custom Ralph Lauren gown, Britain’s English rose could have done so much better than this!

kate-winslet

Another red carpet, another disaster for Heidi Klum. The supermodel fails to impress in this over-the-top cleavage baring one shoulder lilac Marchesa number with one too many floral embellishments.

Heidi Klum

She may have taken home the Oscar for best actress, but even that can’t save Brie Larson from this Gucci disaster. The actress is a mess in this custom-made royal blue spaghetti strap gown which featured too many out of place skirt details and an oversized silver belt.

Red Carpet | Best Dressed at the 2014 SAG Awards

The second stop for awards season happened to be the Screen Actors’ Guild awards. The lavish yet relaxed awards show took place on Saturday in Los Angeles and just like every red carpet, there was mix of gorgeous and hideous, but more on the hideous later ;)

Here are my favorite gowns from the evening!

Jennifer Lawrence

Ok so this look is not my favorite for J Law, but it is a huge improvement from last week’s Dior disaster. Also, because of all the sequins, this dress does not photograph well, but you would like it if you saw it live on TV. In any case, this Dior black strapless gown wins Jennifer some much needed points in the awards season fashion department. She finishes off the look with Jennifer Mayer dangling earrings. Now if only her hair would grow back!

Jen Lawrence

Anna Gunn

I love everything about this look! The midnight blue Monique Lhuillier gown goes perfectly with Anna’s blond hair and the shimmer is just right. The Breaking Bad actress also pays homage to the show with a custom made “Breaking Bad” clutch that made fans of the series go wild!

Anna Gunn

Lupita Nyong’o

The Kenyan beauty nails it again and looks gorgeous on the red carpet. Following her “fashion moment” at the Globes last week, the 12 Years a Slave actress turns heads in this Gucci turquoise dress. The color is just perfect for her complexion and I’m just obsessed with the neckline!

Lupita

Emilia Clarke

Just when you think Calvin Klein lost his A game in designing red carpet gowns (I’m looking at you Reese Witherspoon), the designer dresses Emilia Clarke in a custom sequin one shoulder gown that is drop dead gorgeous! From the color to the hair to the flawless and understated makeup, I I love everything about Emilia’s look!

Emilia Clarke

Sofia Vergara

No surprise here! The bombshell does it again in a strapless Donna Karan gown and a breath-taking Amrapali diamond and emerald statement necklace. Enough said.

Sofia Vergara

Amy Adams

Undoubtedly my favorite from this year’s SAGs, Amy Adams is stunning in this Antonio Berardi dress featuring one shoulder cutout detailing. I love the bejeweled waistline and the rest of her Cartier arm candy. Simply beautiful!

Don’t forget to come back for the worst dressed list tomorrow!

Fashion Fails | Worst Dressed at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards

After the good comes the ugly. Drum rolls please for the worst dressed starlets at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in no particular order (because every single one of these looks was a fashion crime in its own way)

Reese Witherspoon
I like Reese Witherspoon. She’s pretty funny and down to earth. Her fashion sense? Not so much. This teal Calvin Klein dress is a one piece swimsuit disaster waiting to happen. The color, the fit, just everything about this is wrong and makes the actress look bulky on top. The weird hairstyle doesn’t help either.

Reese Witherspoon

Drew Barrymore

While it is a fact that Drew is carrying life inside of her, it looks like life is actually growing on her. Everything is wrong about this Monique Lhuiller dress; from the hemline to the excessive use of these ridiculous petals, this whole look is just a huge catastrophe. I know it’s mean to make fun of a pregnant woman but if Olivia Wilde can look this stunning while pregnant, so can Drew.

Drew Barrymoore

Heidi Klum
There was a time when I really loved Heidi Klum. Then she hit 40 and decided that she needed to put her cleavage on full display anytime she went out and there was a chance someone could get a picture of her. The Golden Globes is just an example of this. Ugly dress. Hideous necklace. The ex supermodel can do so much better than this Gucci getup.

1731663_ET_Golden_Globes_WJS_17

Sandra Bullock
Is it mean to think that Sandra looked better in a space suit than she did in this dress? In all honesty this whole Prabal Gurung look isn’t working. Bubble gum pink just doesn’t fit well with a fancy awards show and neither does an unironed dress!

Sandra Bullock

Zoe Saldana

It’s such a shame that such a stunning actress like Zoe just committed red carpet suicide. This Prabal Gurung dress is all kinds of wrong and does nothing to flatter the actress in any way!

Zoe Saldana

Jennifer Lawrence

I hate to bash JLaw because she really is one of the most amazing women in Hollywood, but this white Dior duvet meets The Little Mermaid is a total miss for America’s Sweetheart. The excessive accessories and the gothic makeup make the whole look more of a disaster. However, JLaw photo bombing Taylor Swift was everything on the red carpet! Hoping she’ll bring better fashion this weekend at the SAGs.

JLAWw
Tina Fey
It’s times like these when I feel like Tina likes to be a worst dressed list. The actress and co-host of the Golden Globes chose this floral Carolina Herrera gown that’s all kinds of wrong. The pattern is just too much and it looks like her body is drowning somewhere in that skirt! Good thing Tina had a few outfit changes during the telecast and got the chance to redeem herself!

Tina Fey

So that’s it from the Golden Globe awards! I’d love to hear who was your very best and worst. Hit me with your comments and don’t forget to tune in next week for the SAG awards!

Red Carpet | Supermodels Add Sexy Glamour to Cannes

Why are supermodels attending movie premieres at a film festival? Who knows… Did they bring a whole lot of sexy to the red carpet? They sure DID!

Not that I’m complaining about their presence, on the contrary, it’s pretty tough to put a model in a designer dress and not expect her to look stunning. It’s safe to say that some of the most famous faces in modeling have turned the Cannes red carpet into their very own catwalk!

Kicking it off with every guy’s favorite, Irina Shayk wore this black cutout and very sheer Roberto Cavalli dress (I guess you can call it a dress). The Russian beauty kept oh so very little to the imagination and even avoided a few wardrobe malfunctions.

Irina

Erin Heatherton was a bit more discrete on the red carpet, appearing twice so far wearing gowns by Roberto Cavalli. Just last night, the Victoria’s Secret Angel chose a white lace number by the Italian designer for a bash on his yacht.

erin

For the premiere of The Great Gatsby, British model Cara Delevingne wore a plunging black dress by Burberry with sheer panels of lace. Red lips, a smokey eye, and sparkling diamonds completed her look.

carad

Doutzen Kroes is another model currently attending the Cannes Film Festival. For her first appearance, the Dutch beauty chose a blush pink gown by Versace that featured a plunging neckline and a high thigh slit. For her next walk down the red carpet, Doutzen wore a jaw dropping white dress by Calvin Klein, complete with a slit up to there and that put her back on full display.

kroes

I saved the best for last, and the best is non other than Alessandra Ambrosio. The Brazilian model has been seen all over Cannes tanning, enjoying the sites, and having lunch with friends in comfy outfits. However, when it was time to hit the festival, the model brought the glam! For the De Grisogono party, Alessandra wore a stunning yellow gown by Elie Saab and accessorized with a matching belt and sandals. To attend Roberto Cavalli’s boat party, she chose a royal blue gown by the designer that featured a lacey sheer back. Back on the red carpet, the model looked like she was dripping in silver in another Roberto Cavalli metallic creation that covered her frame, but showed off her sexy physique.

Spotted | Nicole Kidman Lights Up Cannes!

Looks like Nicole Kidman is finally getting her face back! Yep, seems this Aussie actress is shying away from her previously much loved botox that made her look like a Stepford wife, and I’m loving the results already. Only 48 hours into the Cannes Film Festival and Kidman is undoubtedly the belle of the ball in not one, but four stunning outfits!

For her glamorous arrival in the southern French city, Nicole chose a navy sparkle dress and wrap ankle strap pointed pumps- both by Dior. Kidman dazzled the crowds with her simple straight hair and million dollar smile-yes she can smile again :D

nicole sparkles

Later in the day, Nicole- who is serving as a judge at this year’s festival- appeared at a photo-op with her fellow judges in a beautiful LBD by Alexander McQueen. The dress featured a seductive low cut neckline and romantic bell sleeves. The actress completed her look with mauve Jimmy Choos- a brand she is sure to be wearing more often since she was just named its new face!

nicolesteven

For the screening of The Great Gatsby, Kidman slipped into a floral gown by Dior. She matched her strapless dress with patent pink pumps and had her hair pulled up in a glamorous updo.

nicoledior

Finally, for an event honoring Calvin Klein last night, Nicole wore an S&M inspired leather dress by the label and added Fred Leighton earrings and grey captoe pumps by Jimmy Choo.

Are you loving Nicole’s style? Which look is your fav?

Red Carpet | Best Dressed at the MET Gala

Fashion’s A List came out to celebrate the Met Gala in New York City, with the theme being “Punk: Chaos to Couture”. Let me tell you that there was A LOT of chaos in terms of fashion choices, but for now, let’s just focus on the jaw dropping gowns that made the Best Dressed list!

While Gwen Stefani‘s gown wasn’t as punk as I thought she would want it to be, the rocker was beautiful in a black bow bandeau top and white column skirt custom made by Maison Martin Margiela. Stefani sealed the look with her signature blond locks and red lips!

Gwen Stefani

Gisele always gets it right at the MET, but this time around her choice didn’t quite knock things out of the park. The supermodel still reflected the punk theme in her Anthony Vaccarello black mini with structured details and tons of black diamonds.

Giselle

Looks like the single life has been treating Katie Holmes well! The actress chose a stunning yet understated Calvin Klein white halter for the MET Gala and accessorized with $2.5 million Lorraine Schwartz earrings!

Katie Holmes

Jessica Alba is always one to impress at the MET Gala. This year, Alba went for a gun metal Tory Burch gown with fun ab-revealing cutouts. Adding a major punk touch to her look was a spiked Christian Louboutin clutch and spiked earrings!

Jessica Alba

Hate it or love it, we all know that if there is one person in the world who can pull off a Michael Kors skin tight animal-print gown, it would be Jennifer Lopez! (Same goes for the hairstyle!)

JLo

We all know that Rooney Mara loves her Givenchy so who else would she choose to design her gown for the MET Ball? Mara slipped into a white lace Haute Couture gown by the designer with major zipper detailing. She completed her look with Fred Leighton jewels and dark lips.

Rooney Mara

Leave it to Sara Jessica Parker to go wild for statement accessories! The Sex and the City alum compliments her voluminous Giles Deacon gown with a more than fabulous headpiece by Philip Treacy, that even Kate Middleton would be envy!

SJP

If anyone can pull off a dress-pant combo look it would be Jessica Biel; Mrs. Justin Timberlake chose a Giambattista Valli macramé and tulle gown with matching pants. She accessorized with patent leather pumps, Fred Leighton jewels and a nose ring!

Jessica Biel

She may be walking away from Victoria’s Secret, but Miranda Kerr can still find plenty of creative ways to show off her fit body. For the MET gala, Kerr wore a Michael Kors black halter gown with a coordinated bandeau bra. Adding major glamour to her look were the hundreds of carats of diamonds courtesy of Cartier!

Miranda Kerr

It’s refreshing to see Blake Lively learn that you don’t have to show a lot of skin to get attention on the red carpet. The former Gossip Girl star wore a stunning strapless creation by Gucci Premiere (she is the face of the brand) that had a full feather organza skirt and embellishment around the waist area. Dangling Lorraine Schartz earrings added major glam to her look!

Blake Lively

It wasn’t all perfect at the MET Gala; stay tuned for the worst dressed coming up later!

Red Carpet | Memorable Gowns from the MET Gala!

The annual Costume Institute Gala- also known as the Met Gala- is upon us again! Fashion’s major social event takes place annually at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This year’s event will take place on May 6th, and in anticipation of the big day, here are the top 10 most memorable gowns from the Gala!

Camilla Belle hit the 2012 ceremony in a Ralph Lauren Spring/Summer 2012 gown. While I’m not so sure about the hot chocolate lip color, Belle’s ivory tulle beaded dress was stunning and her Ralph Lauren art- deco jewels helped her nail the look!

Camilla Belle Ralph Lauren10

Never the one to shy away from showing some skin, Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively slipped into this Versace gown for the 2009 Met Gala. The actress flaunted her cleavage and put her legs on full display in this chiffon teal gown. Crystal detailed Versace sandals completed her look.

Blake Lively Versace9

Diane Kruger chose this Jason Wu two toned gown for the 2011 Gala. Her dress consisted of an embellished long sleeve bodice and black skirt with a hip high slit. Side parted waves and a red lip completed her glamorous look.

Diane Kruger Jason Wu8

Fashion’s IT girl Emma Stone wore this Lanvin creation for the 2012 MET Gala in NYC. The over the knee hemline and fun details were enough to land her on the best dressed list last year. If only Emma skipped the boring black pumps and went for some killer sandals!

Emma Stone Lanvin7

Kate Beckinsale is always stunning on the red carpet, so it’s no surprise that she was just that at the 2010 event. Beckinsale wore a Marchesa tulle ball gown with a steel sparkling bodice and a full skirt. Adding even more glamour to her extravagant look? Her foot long train!

Kate B Marchesa6

Inspired by her role in The Princess Diaries, Anne Hathaway wore a glamorous Valentino gown for the 2010 Met Gala. The sparkling champagne color created a great contrast with her skin and the full skirt added more drama to the look.

Anne H Valentino5

Zoe Saldana was a vision of simplicity and class at the 2010 Met Ball. The actress sparkled in this one sleeved navy gown courtesy of Calvin Klein. A classic updo and natural makeup completed her look!

Zoe Saldana CK4

A few months after welcoming baby Blue, Beyonce emerged on the 2012 Met Gala red carpet in this custom made Givenchy gown. From the sheer bodice, to the playful details, and not forgetting the purple feathered train, there are few other ladies in the world who can pull off Queen B’s look!

Beyonce in givenchy2

People magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman in the world knows that Stella McCartney‘s creations are made for the MET Ball. Gwyneth Paltrow stunned in this sequined nude gown by the British designer. Details included a thigh high slit that served as a reminder of the actress’ fabulous figure!

Gwyneth Paltrow Stella McCartney3

If there’s anyone who keeps getting it right year after year at the MET Ball, that person is non other than supermodel Gisele Bundchen! For the 2008 event, the Brazilian beauty sizzled in a soft pink Versace gown that showed plenty of skin. Two years later, Gisele went for a fierce look in a fringed Jason Wu mini that put her curves on full display.

G1

The following year, Gisele was a vision of class and glamour in a voluminous Alexander McQueen scarlet gown and full skirt with raw edges. (check out her glossy hair!). She put on a skin tight Givenchy black dress with strappy in 2012 sandals proving that no one ever does it better than her at the MET Gala!

Red Carpet | Memorable Oscar Fashion!

The wait is over and Oscar night is finally here! For many of us fashion enthusiasts, this night is more about the designer gowns, fancy hair, and drop-dead-gorgeous diamonds rather than who actually wins an award!

So in anticipation of what the stars will bring to the red carpet tonight, here are Oscar’s most memorable gowns ever!

Halle Berry

The most memorable dress of the century! In 2002, nominee Halle Berry stepped on the red carpet in this Elie Saab Couture gown with a sheer bodice and strageically placed embroidery. Lucky for her, she even won the Oscar for “Monster’s Ball” and got to show the dress to the world in her acceptance speech.

Halle B

Penelope Cruz

Penelope chose a blush colored Atelier Versace gown for the 2007 Academy Awards with a sweeping train. An elegant updo and natural makeup completed the flawless look!

Penelope C

Charlize Theron

To collect her Best Actress award for “Monster”, Charlize wore a nude Gucci gown to the 2004 Academy Awards. The dress fit Charlize like a glove and she managed to look even more Hollywood glam in her retro waves and statement jewelry.

Charlize T

Anne Hathaway

Before chopping off her hair to play “Fantine” in “Les Miserables”, this year’s Best Supporting Actress nominee dazzled on the red carpet in 2008. Her deep red Marchesa chiffon gown with flowers on the bodice and shoulder looked like a piece of art and the train made the look even more dramatic.

Anne H

Julia Roberts

One year before Halle Berry’s legendary Oscar gown, Julia Roberts turned heads when she hit the red carpet wearing Vintage Valentino. The black dress with white accents is the best thing I’ve ever seen Julia in. That night, Julia won Best Actress for her role in “Erin Brokovich” and I’m sure the gown is one of the reasons why she received a standing ovation as she finished her speech!

Julia R

Michelle Williams

Who could forget the canary yellow Vera Wang gown Michelle Williams wore to the 2006 Academy Awards? With the late Heath Ledger on her arm, Michelle was the definition of boho chic in this mustardy color, along with a side swept-do, red lips, and a statement necklace.

Michelle W

Hillary Swank

When Hillary Swank walked the Oscar red carpet in 2005, everyone thought she looked far too conservative. Fast forward a few minutes and Hillary reveals a cutout down to there in the back of her Guy Laroche gown. She also picked up an Academy Award for her stellar performance in “Million Dollar Baby”.

Hillary S

Jennifer Lawrence

In 2011, Jennifer Lawrence was nowhere close to how famous she is today. But that didn’t stop her from knocking it out of the park in this va-va-voom red Calvin Klein gown. This low cut yet simple gown, along with blownout blonde locks put Jennifer on the best dressed list that year!
